Ciao tutti,
last week I have been to Isola Vicentina to see what remained from the former factory buildings of Lima. It was sad to see emptyness where my favourite trains once had been built. On the other hand, it was positive. Nothing was destoyed, all is (still after 7 years since it got closed) in a clean and comparatively good condition, no grafitti, no vandalism. The brand name of LIMA is still on the wall. Some pictures?
Here it´s me in front of the site
The railcar that housed the former Museum
...and the factory building
More pictures are on my website:

Since my visit I started to develope a dream. It´s a dream, which I can not make come true by myself. I will tell you about it.
Which place could be better for a future Lima Museum than the former factory in Isola Vicentina? It´s the historic home of Lima. It´s close to the touristic areas of Alto Adige and the Sea resorts of Jesolo and Venezia. If the city of Isola and the community could think about this? I (and another big Lima collector in Germany) will donate more than 3000 different Lima models and all of our knowledge and work out a good concept with the city of Isola.
This is the first call to get something absolutely great started. If someone has connection to the local politics, or press (also Italian Model Railway Magazines), please contact me!
Tanto Grazie,
Martin
